Since we are kids we get a call “to be entrepreneurs”, we dream about having our own business and we play to be successful businessmen. Sadly, as we grow up we get disappointed when we discover that things are not so easy as we thought when we were kids, we get afraid because of the social pressure about failing and we start to think that maybe our ideas are not good enough.
Fear of failure is common, nobody wants to be the laughingstock because of a failed business. Most of the times that fear come from an “I don’t know how to start a business” or an “I don’t know how to be successful”, when in reality the key to success is to leave that fear behind. If you need a story of failure to leave it behind you can always attend to “Fuck Up Nights” stories, is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share publicly stories of failure, but the main objective is to make us see that failure is part of life, and even more when you try to start a business. Easy access to information makes all this kind of events, groups, blogs possible because we can discover people who’re willing to share their stories and help you in your way to be an entrepreneur.
Also, don’t forget all the platforms we’ve talk about to do crowdfunding and get support from people like in the stories of The art of asking and The $55592 potato salad.
The most important thing when we start our business is to have clear “Why I want to do this?”, remember that nowadays crowds don’t follow messages without a meaning, we live in a branding culture where the important things are messages that can touch emotions and people can feel identified and get inspired with it. The responsibility we have when we start a business is not about selling the most so we can be rich and successful, is about how many lives we will inspire to make a positive change, success is measured in how much we help others and if the purpose of our business is just to make us rich we will surely fail.
Never is too late to start your own business, the important thing is the capacity we have to adapt to the new exigencies of the world and let our brand be part of this adaptability.
Don’t stay quiet, let’s inspire more, let’s create more, let’s make a deeper connection with others.
Let’s do #BRAIN_DING!
