As we had previously stated an emotional connection is key for branding, in storytelling we can use archetypes because we need elements that customers can relate to something that looks like their ideal.
Serena Williams is a huge referent of tennis, she has shown us since she was 17 years old how far we can reach if we follow our dreams with passion and never giving up. She has won 21 Grand Slam Tournaments, which are the most important events in tennis. This is why Gatorade, decided to commemorate her victories with an amazing storytelling campaign.
This August they launched a campaign to share and remind all the victories Serena Williams has won, the incredible fact about this storytelling is that you can play Serena’s matches while you learn about her career. And yes, we totally mean play, because it’s an 8-bit cool video game. The way how we share stories related to our brand doesn’t have to be always the same, if we add some creativity we will get interesting results.

Video games are a great way to present stories, in this case, to remind Serena’s followers how hard she has worked and to demonstrate it to those who don’t know her story too.
There are many ways to connect in every level with your customers, but if you want to make a true emotional connection do #BRAIN_DING.
Let’s do #BRAIN_DING!
