5 right things to know about left-handed people

18 May, 2016

In your circle of friends, how many are left-handed? Here we leave you with five interesting facts about those eccentric lefties.

  1. Lefties have much easier access to both sides of the brain. This means creativity is much bigger in them. It has also been proven that there are more left-handed people with IQ scores over 140.
  2. Many of our favorite artists are left-handed, to name a few, we have Tom Cruise, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt. Also featured on the list are Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin and Isaac Newton.
  3. From the womb, babies already show signs of being left-handed. If the baby is left-handed, it’s going to have its head to the left, and if its right-handed, the head will fall to the right. Although it might be just a coincidence, it is something that is repeated in almost all cases.
  4. It has been shown that when a pregnant woman is over 40 years, the baby is 125% more likely to be left-handed. In the case of twins, there’s high chance that one of them is left-handed.
  5. Finally, did you know that International Left-handers day is on August 13? It was established in 1990.
