Candy Crush is considered the world’s most popular online and mobile game. It is basically a match three-puzzle video game developed by King Digital in 2012 on Facebook, and later as a mobile app for smartphones, surpassed Farmville 2 as the most popular game on Facebook last year with over 46 million average monthly users. Candy Crush has been installed over 600 million times on Facebook and iOS/Android devices, and was the most downloaded iOS app last year.
But who knew that a simple game like Candy Crush Saga would become so big it would actually make real-life products?
The game’s creator, King, collaborated with Dylan’s Candy Bar to launch the Candy Crush candy brand, but this is not the only action that the game did, there are also different products such as clothing, toys, and mobile accessories launched by King.
The brand’s branding strategy is so strong, that, since 2012, there are differents ads that were launched on TV to promote the game.
